Yasmine Al-Hussein is an Investment Manager at Yaletown Partners in the Edmonton office. She is responsible for the Accelerate Funds, focusing on early-stage technology startups in Alberta. Prior to joining Yaletown, Yasmine worked at Startup TNT, where she built relationships with tech founders and investors, conducting thorough research, and performing due diligence to evaluate startups for potential investment. She has worked in multiple industries including the non-profit sector, post-secondary institutions, and small business services.
Aroon Sequeira
Founder and Senior Advisor, Valuepath Partners Inc.
Aroon Sequeira, FCPA, FCBV, ICD.D, is an entrepreneur, corporate director, and corporate finance advisor with more than 35 years of experience. He has participated in the startup, growth, and governance of 10+ organizations, including private companies, software ventures, not-for-profits, and a Crown corporation. Aroon has served as Board Chair of early-stage software companies including Black Owl Systems and MaxAssist and has led numerous governance, audit, and investment committees. As founder of Valuepath Partners, Sequeira Partners, and Synergy Partners, and a former Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance at EY, he has advised on hundreds of mergers, acquisitions, valuations, and strategic transactions.
